Today marks the start of February.

February is known as Setsubun, but this year Setsubun isn’t on February 3rd!

That’s surprising, isn’t it?

Setsubun refers to the day before the beginning of spring, and is not fixed on February 3rd.

This year, the beginning of spring is on February 3rd, so Setsubun will be the day before, February 2nd.

As an aside, the last time Setsubun was on February 2nd was four years ago in 2021, and the year before that was in 1897 (Meiji 30), more than 120 years ago.

Be careful not to forget to buy ehomaki on February 2nd.

The availability status at our Okayama store in March is listed below, so please make a reservation if there are any days that are convenient for you.

However, the reservation status changes daily, so by the time you contact us, the time may already be filled up, so we ask that you make your reservation as soon as possible.

It will still be cold in February, so please dress warmly when you visit.

Also, if you are coming by car, please be careful on the road as snow and other factors can make it slippery.
